Our
History

Griffith Athletics Club moved back to its home ground at the Griffith Regional Sports Centre halfway through our 2022/23 season after the completion of our new synthetic track build. Griffith is now home to state of the art facilities including a full 400m synthetic track, 2 sand and 2 grass shot sectors, 4 discus cages (1 including hammer), high jump/pole vault fan, 7 long/triple jump pits and 2 synthetic javelin run-ups. Griffith Athletics committees have worked hard to ensure all abilities and experiences are catered for, including owning the regions only FinishLynx Photo Finish system, Halo Start device, Timing Solution gates and the Olimpo hearing impaired athlete start device. Griffith Athletics is affiliated with both Little Athletics NSW and Athletics NSW, allowing for both kids and adults to train and compete in world class facilities in a vibrant regional centre.
